Robert Whitley is founder, director and co-chief judge of the Critics Challenge International Wine Competition. A career journalist, Robert writes a weekly wine column that is syndicated nationally by the Copley News Service, and is publisher of Wine Review Online. Robert also oversees the San Diego International Wine Competition and has served as director and chief judge of the Monterey Wine Competition since its founding in 1994. Robert supports San Diego's charitable and non-profit community by overseeing the Wine & Roses Charity Wine Tasting and conducts regular wine tastings and special wine events for arts organizations such as Mainly Mozart and the La Jolla Symphony & Chorus. Robert's two weekly radio shows, "Whitley On Wine" and the "Gourmet Club," can be heard on SignOnSanDiego.com. He frequently judges at major national and international wine competitions, and travels extensively to cover the wine regions of the world.
