Mary Ewing-Mulligan has been Chief Judge of the Critics Challenge from its inception in 2004. She is a prominent wine educator, author, wine writer, and master of wine (MW). She is president of International Wine Center (www.internationalwinecenter.com), a wine school in New York City that trains wine professionals and serious consumers. She is also executive director of U.S. programs for the international wine education organization, Wine & Spirit Education Trust, or WSET (www.wsetglobal.com), which offers wine classes in more than 20 U.S. markets.

Mary co-authored the best-selling "Wine For Dummies" and six other books, is a wine columnist for The New York Daily News, Nation's Restaurant News, and Wine Review Online, and writes for several other publications. Mary's accomplishments have been featured in Food & Wine magazine, The New York Times, The Wine Spectator, Newsday, and Gourmet, as well as numerous other publications. Mary frequently judges at major national and international tasting competitions, and lectures to private groups.
