Elin McCoy

Elin McCoy writes a monthly column for the Bloomberg News Service and has been a contributing editor at Food & Wine magazine for 23 years. Elin also is gourmet editor for Smoke and in 2007 authored "Emperor of Wine," a book on the rise of wine critic Robert Parker. Elin writes about organic and biodynamic wines for Wine Review Online, and also has written on wine and spirits for publications such as New York, Forbes, Money, House & Garden, House Beautiful, Drink and Las Vegas Life. With her husband John Frederick Walker, she has co-authored four books on wine and food, including "The Signet Book of American Wine" and "Thinking about Wine." Elin judges at many American and international competitions, and has judged the wine and spirits category of the James Beard Foundation awards. She is a regular speaker at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, Colorado.
